Yoga Alliance certified RYS 200 hour Yoga teacher training details

The Yoga Alliance 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training course is a comprehensive training program, designed in accordance with the 200 hour requirements for registration with Yoga Alliance. At the end of the course you will be a certified Yoga Instructor, eligible to register with Yoga Alliance.

We specialize in classes of smaller groups, with a maximum of 12 students per course in order to give the students more personal attention. This four-week intensive Yoga Teacher Training is of exceptionally high quality, comprehensive, and transformative. The course content is solely taught by Yogi Sivadas

Duration : 4 weeks

Prerequisite :Applicants should have practiced yoga consistently for at least 2 year prior to the course and should be able to demonstrate a general level of health and fitness.

  • Patanjali Sutra’s
  • History, philosophy, ethics and lifestyle of yoga
  • Anatomy and physiology in yoga
  • Ayurveda
  • Chanting
  • Teaching methodology
  • Mudras, bandhas and kriyas

Non-Contact hours : Students familiarize themselves with theoretical aspects of yoga, prepare assignments/ presentations and practice independently.

Yoga Mat Yoga Mat cover, carry bag for study materials (books/study manuals). Two sets of uniforms and all study materials are provided. All this is included in the course fee. Books and reading material will continue to provide you with in-depth knowledge and information once you return home. Many students mail their books home – this is an affordable option to keep your luggage light.

Daily Schedule : 7 contact hours per day

Tuesday is a day of rest with no contact hours – time for self study and openbook assignments

  • 05.30 to 06:30 – Wake up and shower
  • 07:00 to 08:00 – Chanting & Pranayama
  • 08:00 to 10:00 – Morning Asana Class Tribal Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga
  • 10:00 to 11:00 – Break fast
  • 11:00 to 13:00 – Karma Yoga
  • 13:00 to 14:00 – Lunch
  • 14:00 to 16:00 – Main Lecture (Yoga Principles / Philosophy / Yoga Sutra / History / Pathanjali Sutras/Theory on Teaching Training)
  • 16:00 to 18:00 – Evening Asana Practice Tribal Hatha Yoga
  • 18:00 to 20:00 – Free time for light dinner

Accommodation during the Yoga teacher training course

You are responsible for the health and well-being of your body and mind. The school has a limited number of guest rooms available to the students. They are bright and very clean with balconies facing the valley and mountains. Rooms are equipped with a small kitchen, propane cook top, cooking utensils, two sets of bed linens, a duvet, bath and hand towels.  Each room has a private bathroom with shower and hot water. The school is located 100 meters from the main square. The town has many facilities available including: next day laundry, fresh fruits and vegetables, multi-cuisine restaurants, internet, etc.

Code of Conduct

The school operates under a strict Code of Conduct that is based primarily on the philosophy of Yoga, Ayurveda and Reiki. Respect, camaraderie, tolerance and mutual understanding have to lie at the basis of all interactions between students and govern all interactions between students and teacher. Please take some time to familiarize yourself with the Code of Conduct. It will enhance the benefits you gain from any of the classes or courses you take.

The Teacher of Kailash Tribal School of Yoga will:

1) Uphold the professional standards of his teaching profession throughout all his interactions with students by conducting himself in a professional manner.

2) Create and maintain a safe, comfortable and clean environment conducive to the practice of yoga.

3) Respect the right to privacy and dignity of all students.

4) Be conscious and aware of his limitations as a yoga teacher according to his scope of practice.

5) Encourage diversity and be nonjudgmental towards students regardless of their age, racial background, gender or religious orientation.

6) Avoid words or actions that constitute any form of sexual harassment.

7) Adhere to the basic traditional principles of yoga as written in Yamas and Niyamas.

9) Follow and adhere to the national laws of India that pertain to the Yoga and Holistic healing school and teaching activity.

10) When appropriate he will refer a student to seek alternative instructions or advice.

Students are expected to:

1) Be punctual for all classes and arranged meetings in relation to the yoga school.

2) Students must engage themselves with self studying the given syllabus in free hours.

3) Avoid the use of intoxicants while taking part in any of the courses.

4) Purchase own health and other needed insurance.

5) Be respectful, polite, honest and fair in their interactions with the teacher and fellow students.

6) Follow the yogic lifestyle as outlined in the Yamas and Niyamas.

7) Inform the teacher about any pre-existing or arising health conditions and issues.

8) Be focused on the course, its content and practices.

9) Contemplate the teachings and engage in discussions with the teacher if any issues or questions arise.

10) While studying any long-term courses with Kailash Tribal School any other courses from other institutions are not permitted.
