Shakti was born in a yoga ashram and has spent 20 years seriously studying various yogic texts. Her father translated the Bhagavad Gita As It Is, from English into French, she studied that same Gita, during her 6 years in India.
She holds a BA from Sarah Lawrence College, majoring in psychology, and a Bhakti Shastri diploma, from Vrindavan, India. Shakti leads workshops and Yoga Nidra trainings across the US
