The Art of Arm Balances = Flying Hip Openers with Matt Giordano with Matt Giordano at EvenFlow Hot YogaNext held on Sat, Jan 16, 2016 at 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm

This enrollment runs from Sat Jan 16, 2016 – Sat Jan 16, 2016
At the young age of 7, Matt Giordano began studying Martial Arts. The disciplined practice of holding postures while maintaining absolute focus on the breath was strikingly familiar when he began his Yoga journey at age 24. Matt began by exploring many different styles of yoga, and practicing up to 8 hours a day. He found that he gravitated towards more disciplined practices that focused on precise alignment, but he also really enjoyed styles that linked breathing and movement. Naturally, Matt’s teaching style is a powerfully unique blend of alignment, breath, and movement in order to awaken the highest sense of joy within each student.

Here is a video to get you excited for this incredible event:

Matt is based in NYC, and travels around passionately sharing his discoveries through workshops, and teacher trainings. Trainings include Pure Yoga, Yoga Tune Up, Integrated Embodied Anatomy, Anusara, AcroYoga and many more.

“Nothing fulfills me more than witnessing people courageously expand their body, mind, and soul. Whether a person walks in ready to celebrate life or is seeking such inspiration, I hope that they leave feeling peaceful in their heart and empowered in their spirit.” – Matt Giordano

Arm Balances: Flying Hip Openers

Arm balances are some of the most fun, exciting, and challenging poses of the yoga practice. Most also require flexible hips—a place many of us have tightness. Don’t let that deter you from starting arm balance practice now. Finding hip flexibility is more than simply stretching and waiting to achieve the elasticity we desire. With Matt, we explore techniques to find our fullest range of motion through optimal skeletal alignment and muscular engagement for deep, isometric hip strengtheners. We will also develop a true sense of our core and how its location, stability and strength relate to our arms and hips. Get ready to sweat, fly, and go deeper in your body in a way that is safe, healthy and absolutely powerful.
